Israela Islam

The Role:

As Chief Operating Officer, Ms. Islam is responsible for the overall administration of the camp and the leadership teams. She oversees the approval of all hired staff members at the camp including the Camp Director, the Health Services Director, the Staff Director, and others. She is the deputy to the Executive Director and acts as the “Chief Enforcer”. She also facilitates and oversees leadership development training programs.

Short Bio of Ms. Islam:

As Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at The Morris Youth Foundation, Ms. Islam is the President’s chief enforcer, advisor, and head executive, and is responsible for the overall administration of the Foundation. Ms. Islam has many responsibilities, ranging from oversight of four key divisions to serving as the Voice of the President while he’s away on business. Ms. Islam’s responsibilities include:

  • Enforcing policies and presidential orders.
  • Overseeing all personnel staff from the Executive Office including the MYF Chief of Staff.
  • Oversight of four administrative divisions which include the Division of Finance and Administration, the Division of Academic Affairs, the Division of Communications and Marketing, and the Division of Information Technology Services.
